  1. I am wanting a canister type especially for cat hair with a rotary small accessory brush for sofas, etc. Any suggestions? Thank you–Joan Scott.

    1. Dear Joan,

      Thanks for reaching out!

I would recommend the Bissell 1954 Cordless Vacuum. The 2-way handle flexes in both directions so you can easily clean under furniture. it also includes a small accessory brush.

You can use it for sofas and other surfaces. It’s perfect for cat hair and includes a charging base for rapid recharge which I like. The Bissell Pet Hair Eraser 33A1 is also suitable for cat hair.

It’s handheld, affordable, and lightweight. You will get a long cord and an ergonomic handle. It’s perfect for animal hair. However, it’s not capable of removing deeply embedded dirt.

      Kind regards,

      Kevin

  2. Good evening!
I was prepared to buy your #1 pick, the Shark Rotator. I began price shopping online and ended up the on the official Shark website. I was disappointed to see that this vacuum has more complaints than compliments. It end up with a rating of 3.8 stars. Do you still stand by your recommendation? The biggest complaints are durability and the worthless warranty. I need a great vacuum that suck up cat litter and not break in a year.

    1. Dear Victoria,

Thanks for sharing your opinion with me!

Everyone has a different experience with different products. I focus on the features, efficiency, and performance a product has to offer to buyers instead of the negative experiences.

I can’t judge a product only by its reviews because what works for me, might not work for other people and vice versa. Yes, I still stand by my recommendation because it’s a good unit.

Yes, it’s quite bulky and doesn’t last forever but what does? If you take good care of your unit, it won’t break in a year but last for years. And it’s covered by a 5-year limited warranty, unlike other vacuum cleaners that come with 1-year warranties.

At the end of the day, it’s your money and you can spend it however you want. Please, consider some of the other vacuum cleaners in this article if you’re not sure about Shark.

Have a lovely day and stay safe.

      Kind regards,
      Kevin.
